Code Red- Aiden Lugo

Have you ever been in a code red? A code red is definitely a scary thing to expirence. A code red takes place when there is a threat on campus or very close. An Example of a threat would be, a gun or knife or police chase or multiple fights.

First off, code yellow is a situation that is close but not really close. It's really scary to think a threat is near you at times. Some kids have anxiety. It can also cause a nervous breakdown. I interviewed Levi Cleveland, a 6th grader. And he said he's been in code yellow and he said he was scared. He could not leave his classroom. It was a robbery in Walmart, a supermarket used to buy food.

Secondly, a code red is a threat on campus. Code reds are very rare. I interviewed Tiffany Paolicelli, a 6th grader, and I asked her what was scarier, code red or code yellow. Her

response was code red because they could sneak on campus and pretend to be a parent and really be a school shooter in disguise. She also was scared they could pretend to be like a sheriff as we saw at oxford high if you are not familiar with the situation. Basically a school shooter was pretending to have a badge.

In conclusion, code reds are a really big deal as are code yellows. These procedures are to keep us away from harm. The consequences for not following these procedures will be decided.
