When you think of Disney you think Mickey Mouse, Lightning McQueen, or Buzz Lightyear. These are all in common from being legendary characters created by Disney. But for 98 years as a company can they still make those characters that we love? Join to make clear the question, Is Disney getting worse?
Disney owns many companies like Pixar, Disney animations, Marvel, Star wars and 20th century Fox. These companies have all made classic movies that we all love, now we need to deep dive to see if Disney is getting worse. We first started interviewing some students around ITMS to see if Disney is having its downfall. We first interviewed Aiden, a 7th grader. We first asked him if Disney is getting worse and why. Aiden replied by saying “disney is getting worse”. “I extremely disliked their new movies”. Then we asked him how Disney could improve. “I personally think if they make more movies like Encanto movies”, Lastly we asked him if Marvel movies are getting worse. He finished it off with “Marvel has been getting worse. Have you seen Shang Chi?” Then we asked Aly, a 6th grader. We asked her Is disney getting worse and She replied by saying “yes, because she said the classics
are more noglistiac and had a better story telling while newer movies are getting a confusing plot”. We then asked her how Disney could get better and she said “with a better plot and characters like Encanto they could become the gems I want”. For the last question we asked if Marvel films are losing its flair and she said “they're still good there just trying to copy their masterpiece formulas”. We then talked to William, an 8th grader. We asked if Disney's downfall is true and he said “no because he said that Disney has definitely redeemed themselves the past year and he sees a good future from them”. We asked then if there could be any way to improve disney and all he said was “by deleting the November Marvel movie Eternals from all existence and would replace it with the Avengers in
quarantine”. We lastly asked him if Marvel could be better and he said “it is still at a good stage but Eternals can burn because it had too many characters”.
